Types Technical Specifications Processes
The organic coffee is a 100% natural coffee which has been cultivated and then processed without any chemical additives. Besides preserving its natural characteristics, it is a pure product, free from chemical residues or any genetic modification.

Elcafé has been certified to process organic coffee by the Institute for Market ecology (IMO) of Switzerland and by Naturland of Germany. This certification guarantees the origin of the green coffee beans and the manufacturing process. The entire range of our offerings (roast & ground, spray-dried, agglomerated, freeze-dried, extract, flavored and decaffeinated) may be organic
.

Spray-dried instant coffee
The freshly harvested coffee beans are carefully cleaned, sorted, roasted and ground. The coffee flavors and aromas are then extracted, using water under high temperature and pressure. The resulting hydrolysis is filtered, centrifuged and finally evaporated to reach an ideal concentration which is dried by atomization until a fine soluble powder is obtained.

Agglomerated instant coffee
The fine particles of spray-dried coffee are mixed with water and steam in order to convert them into agglomerated particles. This process delivers a stronger concentration and a better flavor.

Freeze-dried instant coffee
The hydrolysis (coffee extract made of soluble solids plus water) is frozen at a temperature of 50ºC below zero, then ground and sorted by size, to be taken to the drying chambers. In the drying chambers, under extreme vacuum conditions, the humidity is extracted from the frozen extract by sublimation, a physical property by which the water is converted from solid to gas without going through the liquid phase. The product is ready to be consumed.

Instant flavored coffee
Special flavors are obtained through the combination of coffee with flavors. The most popular are Mint, Hazelnut, Eucalyptus, Vanilla, Cinnamon, Anise, Almond, Irish cream, Coconut, Amaretto and Chocolate.

Decaffeinated coffee
The previously decaffeinated coffee beans are carefully roasted and ground. The coffee flavors and aromas are then extracted, using water under high temperature and pressure. The resulting hydrolysis is filtered, centrifuged and finally evaporated to reach an ideal concentration which is dried by atomization until a fine soluble powder is obtained.

Roast & ground Coffee
The selected green coffee beans are roasted preserving their flavors and aromas. They are then ground according to the customer's specifications.

Frozen coffee extract
Centrifuged hydrolysis containing the degree of concentration required by the client.
